🎒 Stepping Stone Center Announces 2nd Annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive– Seeking Community Partners & Sponsors
As the new school year approaches, Stepping Stone Center is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive, taking place on August 8, 2026, in Los Angeles County. This impactful community event will provide 200–300 underserved students with backpacks, school supplies, and essential resources to help them start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.
Supporting Youth & Families Who Need It Most
At Stepping Stone Center, our mission is rooted in supporting individuals and families impacted by incarceration. Many of the children we serve face financial hardship and systemic barriers that make accessing basic school supplies a challenge.
This initiative is more than a giveaway—it’s about:
Promoting educational success and confidence
Reducing financial stress for families
Creating a positive and supportive community environment
Empowering youth to thrive academically and socially
Last year, we successfully distributed 150 backpacks, and this year, we are expanding our impact to reach even more families across Los Angeles County.
